Fashion Forward, 3 century of Fashion (1715-2016)

From the 7th of april to the 14th of august 2016

This summer I had the chance to see the exhibition Fashion Forward, 3 centuries of Fashion (1715-2016) at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.

This exposure results in a timeline creators illustrated by their clothes, their research lines, their inspirations for adults and children, their celebrations or oppressions of women's bodies.

Throughout the tour, you are amazed by the wealth of fashion and its history through 300 different creations, both male and female and discover or rediscover the famous work of the greatest creators such as Jeanne Lanvin, Madeleine Vionnet, Gabrielle Chanel, Charles Frederick Worth, Jacques Doucet, Paul Poiret, Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent.

For the 30th anniversary of the museum opened in 1986 on the initiative of Pierre Bergé and French textile industry, and with the decisive support of Jack Lang, Minister of Culture, the Museum of Decorative Arts had to make tribute to this fascinating world.

However for those who have not had the chance to see this magnificent exhibition, I suggest you visit the website of the museum of decorative arts where you will get a glimpse of the exhibition.
