Who are we ?

We are 6 students in Luxury marketing at BBA EDHEC.

Passionate about luxury and eager to always learn more about this world, we have decided to create this blog. This is a way for us to share our passion and our experiences throught our visits of exhibitions, museums or throught our participation to different events.

I am Celeste, 21 years old. Passionate of luxury, especially in fashion, my dream is to create my own brand of luxury fashion and underwear for women.

 

For you, what is Luxury?

From my point of view luxury is synonymous with quality, know how, hand made, tradition etc. In my opinion this is not the price, which define the luxury level of a product or a service, this is the time passed to create it, the quality of raw materials, the quality of the workforce, men of the shadows.

The real luxury has sentimental value, so it is priceless.

My name is Claire and I come from Aix en Provence, city of water and art. With a grandmother artist I’ve always been bathed in the art and attract to culture.

For you, what is Luxury?

Luxury is for me the paroxysm of these two universes. It also reflects the complete control of the savoir-faire, a French pride. Curious about what can be done by prestigious Maisons, I wanted to share experiences that I lived about the culture of luxury world.

I’m Manon, 21 year old, fond of the luxury universe. I’m very interested in how to give value to the brand by creating exclusive content.

For you, what is luxury ?

To me, luxury is a world which makes people dream. It represents values such as quality, exclusivity, and heritage of the know-how. It is rich, sophisticated and sumptuous.

My name is Louise. I’m 21 years old and I come from the east of France. I’m passionate about classical and tap dancing. My dream is to work in a luxury group for jewellery and watches.

 

For you, what is Luxury?

In my opinion, when you’re looking for a luxury product, you want to have a story with this product: know how, hand made, mix between tradition and modernity.

All the luxury brand must have a storytelling to express their values.

Today, consumers want to have a real experience when they buy a luxury product, they must have an emotion.

Luxury is the synonym of quality, emotion and history.

My name is Salomé and I am a 22 years old girl from Paris. I have always been attracted by luxury, fashion and art. I would like to open an art gallery dedicated to French luxury abroad

 

For you what is Luxury

To me, the notion of luxury changes with times and even individual preferences. Luxury is not necessarily a symbol of social status. It can have a less tangible value, linked to experience, to memory. Luxury gives pleasure and happiness. We can give a luxury look to everything we do if it creates value for us.

Hello, I am Morgan, I am 24 years old. I am a fond of luxury watches. One day, I wish to launch my proper brand. I am attracted by luxury as I have always been interested by art and culture. Luxury is for me the representation of art and culture in one particular universe.

 

For you, what is luxury?

 Luxury is a synonym of know-how and quality. What I particularly like in the luxury field is that there is an interesting story and past for each brand. We know the origin of products. I admire the manufacture and the know how of the craftsmen in the creation of luxury watches. They bring to life objects and what they create represents real pieces of art to me. The brands I am really passionate about are Jaeger-Lecoultre and Patek-Phillipe for the traditional side and the amazing design they put in to the different watches they make. All of these assets mixed to performance and accuracy.
