L'arche de Noé told by Van Cleef & Arpels

During the last september month, Van Cleef & Arpels offered an exposition dedicated to a clips collection on the Noah’s Ark animals theme. This event was created to promote the new collection of the Maison of High jewelry. It took place at the hôtel d’Évreux located at place Vendôme, exceptionally opened to the public.

Van Cleef & Arpels wanted to illustrate the animal kingdom and wonders of nature through magnificent clips. The exposition’s inspiration from Noah’s Ark was translated from a diversified number of animal couples add to three lonely imaginary creatures (unicorn, pheonix and pegasus): as many animals as gemstones.

The aim of this exposition was to show the savoir-faire and the poetry of the Van Cleef new collection’s universe. The clips were also for sale for several tens of thousands euros.

The 15 minutes’ experience began from a small dark corridor then a small passageway in the door to get in the room. It was a quiet place with a peaceful song with the sound of the sea and the image of the water. But every 5 minutes thunder roared and the flood hit this haven of peace to remind the Noah’s flood.

Toucans, koalas, bears, squirrels, butterflies, turtles, that is just a sample of what the Maison offered to visitors.

An exposition created and realised by Robert Wilson, american stage director
